Obsolescent parts can ground an aircraft rapidly. Our client needed to replicate a turbine wheel inside a small cooling turbine. This part had not been made for years and was recently depleted. We reversed engineered it for materials and treatments. Result is a part that spins at upwards of 60 000 RPMs and is dynamically balanced before it reaches the repair station.

Our client only revealed to us after delivery of the final solution that the price he paid with Aero 1 for the turbine wheels was historically the lowest they had ever paid for them.
